Mixing with Royalty

The Royal Household CC were our guests for a friendly at Castle Park on Saturday on a fine spring day. The ground was in fine condition and everyone seemed happy to be playing in many cases their first game of the year.

The home batsmen took full advantage of a evenly paced wicket, all (four) of the batsmen had good crease time with Omar going onto a century before retiring to let Spesh have a few hits.

The Household batsmen struggled against Reece in particular but all the bowlers had a workout with the 13 man squad rotating to allow us to deploy two keepers. There was never much chance of overhauling the massive 283 total but wickets were also hard to come by suggesting a long season for the home bowlers down at the Park.

The day was suitably rounded off with a barbie run by Nathan and the Household captain presenting momentos to the club, Pip and Chunky along with thanks for an enjoyable day.

Badgers Quiz Night - 8th May

Please keep Saturday May 8th free in your diary for the Badger’s Quiz Night!! This will be the first of our major social events for the year and is set to be a great night.

This will not be your traditional Q&A only night and expect to be put to the test in a number of challenges! Clearly the highlight of the night will be the running of the 100 metre ‘badger’ sprint. The most prestigious footrace in the country!!

The bar will be open and food will be served. More details on this to follow.
